Langside Mountaineering Club Meets Policies

 Members should register their wish to go on the list by 10.30 pm on the Wednesday, 2 weeks before the meet.

In the event of over subscription, names will be drawn out of a hat as to who is not going.

Members who have not paid their subscription will not be eligible for inclusion on an oversubscribed meet.

Potential new members will be included in the draw if this is their first meet, thereafter if they wish to attend meets they will be expected to subscribe.

Members will be in the draw individually, all members with an equal chance. Allowance will not be made for couples or climbing teams. If a member does not wish to go because a partner is not going then they should communicate this to the meet secretary. Individuals who are drawn to not go on the meet, will then go on the reserve list in case of drop outs. The last to be drawn will be the first on the reserve list. Couples can go together on the reserve list in the order of draw to see if two place become available.

If a meet is oversubscribed, then the people not included in the meet, can try and arrange alternative accommodation. (Good deals exist for short term lets during winter)

If a meet is not oversubscribed on the Wednesday 2 weeks before the meet, it will be open to additional names on a first come first served basis.
