Payment
Cost £65.00 p.p for dinner, band, accommodation and breakfast.

Preferred payment method is by BACS transfer. Cheques and cash are also possible if you can bring them to Steven or Paul.  All payments must be received the weekend before the dinner dance. If you have a genuine reason to not be in a position to pay before the dinner dance then please contact Paul and we will get something sorted for you.  If paying by BACS, you must make your name and purpose of the payment clear on the reference.

Menu

Please see menu page and let Paul know as soon as possible what your choices are. If he has not heard from you by the 30th October he will choose for you as the chef needs to know by the 2nd.

Prizes

As usual we have some great prizes from Trespass, Cotswold and Ice Factor.

Davy Smith has very kindly donated a couple of prints (great prize given his constantly increasing success).

Cammy and Charlie have also kindly donated bottles of spirits - cheers guys.

Chic and Helen have donated tickets to a night in Oran Mor to see 'Ali Bawbag & the Four TeaLeafs' - very kind of you both. Thank you.

Ceilidh Band

This year we have a new band. They have come recommended from club members who has seen them in the past. Let me introduce The Ceilidh Bandidos, a four piece band from Argyll, who will hopefully keep us tapping and on our toes for a few hours.

19th September 2015
Langie vs Camphill Bowling Day
Time for our annual bowling get together between The Langie and Camphill Bowling Club. Lets get as many members, friends and family down there as we can to help support the Bowling club and the climbing club.  It really is a good, booze and food fueled social event (Cammie can testify to the hangovers!).  Start time 12.30(ish).
16th September 2015
Slide show at the Bowlie
There will be a slideshow, or should I say a digital projection show, on the 16th September at the bowlie.   So get theses summer hill pictures onto a memory key and show us what you've been up to over the summer.  Start time 8.30 pm.
Wednesday 17th December 2014
Christmas quiz at the Bowlie

Congratulations to the 'Climbing Monkeys' who won this time with a chart-topping 42 points. Thanks to everyone who attended for making it such a good night - much appreciated as no quiz teams would make for a bit of a crap quiz :-)

Special thanks to Chod for organisational/technical support and to Jon Molyneux for providing the 'Jon Molyneux Word Trickery Round'.
See you next time! (?)
Carl & Philippa.

Saturday 15th to Sunday 16th November 2014
Dinner dance at The Kingshouse Hotel

After a successful bag of Geoff's last Munro, the back Buachaille, there were 44 at the dinner dance this year. Thanks to Helen, Paul and Ken for bringing it all together, and particularly to Helen and Cammy for helping source some great prizes enabling us to raise the fantastic sum of £410 for the Mountain Bothies Association and Mountain Rescue. Thanks to The Ice Factor, Oran Mor, Edrington, Cotswolds, Tisos, Waterstones, Tinto Tapas Restaurant (Hyndland St) and La Boca Restaurant for their generous donations, and to the unknown benfactor who donated a bottle of Grouse on the night.  Also big thanks to Nevisport for the jacket for the prize draw.

After the usual big feed from the Kingie kitchen it was all hush for the prize-giving - Mike won first prize by a long shot, and seemed very pleased with his stabilisers.  And finally Scotland's Ceilidh Band put us through our paces on the dance floor as a warm up to the ipod.  Next morning we had our last Kingie breakfast surrounded by the memorable wallpaper of the dining room before it gets a welcome facelift next Autumn.
